About the seminar
The Nordic UN Procurement Seminar took place 10-11 June 2025. The seminar served as a unique meeting point for Nordic companies across industries and sectors, providing an opportunity to engage directly with UN officers working with procurement.
The seminar took place in the UN City in Copenhagen and was hosted by Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, and Finland, along with Danish Industry, Innovation Norway, Business Sweden, Business Iceland, and Business Finland.
The seminar offered companies valuable insights into the workings of UN procurement. Participants had the chance to meet procurement officers and UN buyers from a wide range of agencies. The UN representatives delivered presentations and took part in workshops to share knowledge on conducting businesses with the UN and provide know-how on how to become an attractive supplier.
The two-day seminar covered a variety of topics, including energy, life sciences, management, infrastructure, and logistics. The program offered a comprehensive introduction to the UN procurement system and allowed participants to choose the workshops that were most relevant to your company.
The Nordic countries have a proud tradition of delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to the United Nations. This seminar sought to build on that legacy by reinforcing the Nordic region’s leadership through a deeper understanding of the UN's needs and challenges, as well as highlighting Nordic solutions to the UN-system. It aimed to ensure that Nordic solutions stay aligned with the UN’s goals, foster collaboration across public, private and international sectors, and provide platforms for UN representatives and companies to exchange insights, address challenges, and share innovative ideas.
